Occupy PDX

This weekend was extremely memorable! Saturday after looking at a house to move into, the four of us went down to Esther Short Park to meet up for the Occupy rally. Oh and of course to enjoy Farmer's Market.
Let be briefly explain WHY we went and what is currently happening world wide...
WE ARE THE 99%! It is tragic this is happening... We no longer have a middle-class in our society. The gap between the rich and the rest of us is unbelievable, everyone seems to be struggling to make ends meet and keep up with the cost of living...
We met up with  the Grandmother, Grandpa Jon and Uncle Maddox... My mom made this great sign WHAT IF? So many questions can be prefaced with 'what if"... What if we cannot recover from this recession? What if students are no longer able to take out loans for education? What if the cost of living continues to increase? What if we self implode?!

"Occupy Wall Street is a people-powered movement that began on September 17, 2011 in Liberty Square in Manhattan’s Financial District, and has spread to over 100 cities in the United States and actions in over 1,500 cities globally. #OWS is fighting back against the corrosive power of major banks and multinational corporations over the democratic process, and the role of Wall Street in creating an economic collapse that has caused the greatest recession in generations. The movement is inspired by popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia, and aims to expose how the richest 1% of people are writing the rules of an unfair global economy that is foreclosing on our future."

We didn't march but the two of you managed to find an abandoned sign and joined in ;c) We also enjoyed some yummy food from Farmer's Market. I was so pumped up that I wanted to go to Portland to see the efforts of Occupy PDX.

While we were there the Vietnamese Community of Oregon showed up for their Rally... It was intense! I am so glad we went ;c)

I love you both equally and more than anything!

Saturday night your Dad and I went out on a date to the Rock pizza! We had a fantastic time!
Yes... that bucket was my DRINK! Long island baby! YUMMM! We also had these delicious jello shots in syringes! The food was fantastic and our server was phenomenal! GREAT DATE! Thank you to Pink, GG-Pa, Ginger and Drew for watching you while we went out!
