Alderbrook Pumpkin Patch

October! Woo hoo Halloween! I've started our Wonderland costumes, put up a few decorations and today we visited a pumpkin patch at Alderbrook!

My dear friend Travis of 10 years ventured out with us... Wait, 10 years? How old am I?!

We arrived to find 'Open' signs but not a single person... Eventually we were tracked down to pay and hitched a train/tractor ride! Cash you were loving it! Bentz, not your thing... haha
You two explored a tiny wooden playhouse, swings, pumpkins....
 ANIMALS!
The sign told us to come on in and of course we couldn't resist the cute creatures...Well, Travis couldn't... I could have probably done without but it was sweet to watch you warm up to the animals...
Further down the trail we spotted the pirate ship and labyrinth/maze! For a while you attempted to hands and  it was priceless! Until you fell up the stairs... luckily no tears were shed during our visit.

After our little adventure we headed to Red Robin where Trav treated us to lunch... I may or may not of had a margarita after Bentley's screaming episode...

It was a fantastic day and we are thankful to Travis for being a trooper!

I love you both equally and more than anything!

Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge

Last weekend we had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy the Wild Life Refuge in Ridgefield with my dear friend Rob. We have been lucky to have nice weather into October...(and honestly it is nice to see/smell rain....)

However last weekend we soaked up the last few days of sun...
We explored a plank house made of cedar, spotted a few ducks, a blue herring and hiked through the forest...
Although poison oak WAS spotted, none of us had contact or a mysterious reaction... whew!
It was darling to see the excitement on your faces while you explored your surroundings... Cash, you were all about collecting acorns in your pocket... B, you liked running ahead bouncing your little noggin...
It was certainly a team effort to watch after you both and push the stroller, which got a flat tire from a thorn (we didn't notice until we were packing up the car)...
THANK YOU ROB!
After our trek we headed to a park to enjoy a picnic...
I sure am lucky to have such cute kiddos! Hearing you laugh and run wild certainly makes it all the two-year-old tantrums worthwhile ;c)
At some point the camera got turned to 'M' mode (while I was letting you take assisted pictures) and the photos came out extremely dark... But if you look close enough you can see your open mouth grins... I must also comment on your amazing balance skills, you did great on the "big-kid" swings! Not to mention that every time you fall down you just get right back up,  literally dust your hands off and continue moving...

"We had a great day, it was a super way to spend some time together... "- Fresh Beat Band

I love you equally and more than anything!
XOXO
